Kingfisher to Cutoff Overseas Flights

Kingfisher official today announced the further reduction in international flights. Kingfisher is hoping to improve its financials by curtailing the overseas operations that are making heavy losses. According to an official, the beleaguered carrier has already returned one leased airbus A330-320 to its lessor in Britain. The airline indicated more developments by assuring that positive and immediate remedies are being taken on all fronts to cut costs.

The flights operations will continue to be affected for over a week. On Tuesday, it managed to operate only 101 flights and promised to operate the similar number on Wednesday. Ina latest report, the company said ‘we would like to confirm that we are curtailing our wide body overseas operations that are bleeding heavily’ but however, it still did not clarify which international flights will be affected. At the same time, the company also informed that ‘many of our pilots and engineers have expressed their disappointment’ for which we not only sincerely apologize to them but also assure that out chairman will meet the pilot fraternity on Thursday march 15 in Delhi.
