Delhi-based Ripudaman Handa's obsession and adore for cooking helped him win the 'MasterChef' title in the third season of 'MasterChef - Kitchen Ke Superstar' at the finale of the reality show on Friday. The youngest participator on the show, Handa, 23, was rewarded Rs.1 crore and a chance to make public his own cookery book, an aspiration he has been docking for long. Handa won the kitchen scuffle by defeating Doyel Sarangi, a homemaker from Kolkata and Varanasi-based Navneet Rastogi, who belongs a family of caterers. For Handa, his prevalent threat on the Star Plus reality show was Nisha Verma, who had got eliminated a week previous to the finale. But now that he has won, his aspiration is to go abroad and broaden his understanding of food and cookery. A Punjabi boy with elegance for Italian cooking, Handa also hopes to open his own restaurant one day. On a current visit to the Ajmer Sharif Dargah before the finale, Handa explained how the 'MasterChef' experience was life-changing for him, and how it has restricted him as well as given him self-assurance.
