Tihar Inmates Launch Album Jaane Anjaane

A melodic voice, a sweetish six-string flick, a beautiful jugalbandi on tabla - The music launch of their album is look-alike any else, however, with one variation. These performers are all prisoners and their presentation is in Tihar Jail. Meet the Tihar Idols, who have introduced their first album, an introductory from inside a jail.

Entitled 'Jaane Anjaane', the album has six songs, written and composed by the finalists of Tihar Idol, a talent hunt held for occupants of the jail. Shivani Hassan, a murder undertrial, and Bhagirath Khadiya, undertrial for dacoity, say it's a new starting for them.

The band has a global touch too. Joe Vargas, a Canadian nationalist who is the lead guitar player, says the music helps him change state. He says, "I feel like I am overstepping not just civilization.. even bars through with music."

Authorities say there's an immense change within the musical group. "They now desire to live a better life. I am vainglorious of them," says the jailer. The band not only anticipations it will pitch a note of change in them, but a commercial attainment will also be a big hike and open up more approaches for them when they step out of Tihar.
