NR Narayana Murthy on Saturday came back to Infosys with the IT Company appointing him as Executive Chairman of the Board. Murthy, who established Infosys in 1981, had stepped down from the Board and served as Chairman Emeritus in 2011. He has provided their job as company's CEO from 1981 to 2002. KV Kamath, Board Chairman, will bow out from his position and take up the position of Lead Independent Director effective from June 1, 2013. Narayana Murthy will acquire five-year term at a reward of Re 1 per year. N R Narayana Murthy said, "This calling was sudden, unanticipated, and most strange. But, then, Infosys is my focus child. Therefore, I have set aside my plans-in-progress and accepted this liability. I am thankful to Mr. K V Kamath - the Chairman, the Board, and each Infoscion for giving me this opportunity. I aim to do my best to put in value to the Company in this challenging state of affairs."
