Suzuki Stated To Get Manesar Plant on Track

On Thursday, Osamu Suzuki, the chairman of Japan’s Suzuki Motor Corp declares that the production at Maruti Suzuki’s riot-hit Manesar plant is expectedly to attain 800-850 vehicles per day in the first half of September.

The chairman also told reporters that it might take additional time until the company can start again production at the pre-riot level of about 1,700 vehicles a day. “The Manesar plant is working with at least 1,300 to 1,400 workers”, told Suzuki told at a conference in Tokyo.

"It is also expected that about 800 to 850 vehicles are produced per day in the first half of this month. As of September 4, it has attained 670 vehicles, so this is possible".

Maruti Suzuki Manesar plant is reopened, where it produces the best selling Swift hatchback, late end of month under an intense police attendance after worker unrest exploded into mob violence that close the plant in July, costing India’s biggest carmaker more than $250 million in lost production.
