Chennai beats Mumbai Indians

Chennai super kings are defending champions of the season. Riding on the strength of the captain Mahendra singh dhoni’s superb performance of 20 balls, 51 run innings, the Chennai super kings romped into the second qualifiers by knocking out Mumbai Indians by making an easy 38 run victory in the IPL eliminator on Wednesday night. With this outstanding performance and win, the Chennai super kings have come closer to their third successive title. The team will now lock horns with delhi daredevils on Friday at home in the qualifier-II, the winner of which will take on Kolkata knight riders in the summit clash on Sunday at the same venue. M Chinnaswamy played a key role in making it to the victory of Chennai super kings. Other than that, the victory was set up by two brilliant players of Chennai- 94-run third-wicket stand between S Badrinath (47) and Michael Hussey (49). The two players helped the team recover after being precariously placed at 1 for 2 in 1.2 overs.
