2G Auction Starts From 14,000 Cr

As per the supreme court and TRAI - Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, decided to start auction for second-generation or 2G licenses that starts from 14,000 crore that is 10 times more from 2008. This would completely stick the companies where they compel to raise the prices for telecom tariffs.

Earlier 122 licenses have already been cancelled by the Supreme Court that makes mobile network to be auctioned. As per the group of ministers while deciding upon prices, the Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal was reportedly fixed upon the price of 14,000 crore. Besides these, the cabinet has also decided about the different slabs of revenue where an annual spectrum usage would be charged of 3-8 per cent. This process of auction would be very strict and clear without any corruption and hidden concepts. After cancelling of licenses, the Supreme Court moves with strict rules and guidelines for auction process in order to ensure transparency.
