After FB, Twitter also Ogling Indian Start

Yesterday Facebook made news for seemingly finalizing its attainment of an Indian company Little Eye Labs. Now, micro blogging platform Twitter is also said to be in meeting for its first acquirement of an India-based startup, Frrole. Frrole is a Big Data startup that studies tweets by Twitter users to produce insights for media, consumer and entertainment verticals. Based in Bangalore, this company is expressed as a social newspaper that gets its data from Twitter. It separates through over 10 million tweets per day and divides them into categories. The company covers data from 55 cities in six countries to amassed content. According to a report by technology website TechCrunch, "the two companies are still surveying ways to make it work." Twitter's current marketing push has given rise to a need for providing precise data that advertisers can use to sell ads on the platform. Facebook is in talks with Bangalore-based Little Eye Labs, which helps Android app developers to gauge, analyze and optimize their apps. Apple today attained Topsy Labs, a Big Data startup that also gives insights into Twitter chatter. It is co-founded by Vipul Ved Prakash, a former Napster engineer, and has raised $32 million from investors.
