No Much Hiring This Year, Says TCS CEO

N Chandrasekaran, CEO of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), said TCS frequently does 60% of its annual hiring from fields. "Overall, hiring has gone down. In the last two years, the development rate has not been groovy and the usage levels have come fall. Since the last two years were not fine, companies are become cautious this year," he said.

Ganesh Natarajan, CEO of Zensar Technologies, said the hiring prospect stayed muted as supply had exceeded demand. "Entry level salaries could stay flat. There is a conceptualization that commercial enterprise salaries turned up by 12% this fiscal, but the realness is that it has absent off by 6% and entry-level pays have been flat," he said.
