Now Boarding Pass on Mobiles For Flyers

Domestic flyers will soon be competent to skip check-in lines at airports and board the aircraft by simply flashing their smartphones. The aviation ministry has inquired the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) to create a protocol for flyers to find bar-coded boarding cards on their phones with which they can carry on for security checks.

Passengers are now permitted to get into airports by showing the electronic tickets on their phones alternatively of hard copies of the identical. E-boarding cards will take the mobile technology opening progressive. Airlines will email boarding cards to travelers once they check-in online or telephonically.

Meanwhile, numerous airport developers have asked the aviation ministry to do away with the activity of CISF stamping luggage tags after bags are X-rayed and improved to be taken on board aircraft. This practice is showing to be a supplying nightmare at big airports such as Delhi's Terminal 3.

"We have many instances of security body looking for CISF security check stamp on hand bag tags but either the tag is missing or the stamp is lose. Then passengers have to run all the way back to safety counters to acquire a stamped tag. This is causing immense inconvenience and we have requested the ministry to do away with this activity in Delhi," said a senior Delhi airport authoritative.
