Aamir, Kate, Malala In Time's Top List

Rapper Jay-Z, Pakistani teen Malala Yousufzai, Indian Star Aamir Khan, Oscar-winning actor Jennifer Lawrence and SpaceX promoter Elon Musk were on Thursday titled among Time magazine's most powerful people in the world. U.S. President Barack Obama acquired his eighth entry on the yearly list of the 100 top global titans, leaders, artists, pioneers and icons, along with his wife Michelle, freshly placed Pope Francis, British royal Kate Middleton, Beyonce, Justin Bieber's manager Scooter Braun and basketball player LeBron James. Ex PayPal entrepreneur Musk was titled to the list as his SpaceX devlops space transport with a supreme aim of enabling people to live on other planets. Time mentioned in their speech that for the first time it is issuing seven abstracted covers for its 100 Most Influential People edition, which is brought out in the United States on Friday. Chinese tennis player Li Na, 31, the first Asian woman to grab a Grand Slam title, and Bollywood actor and political reformer Aamir Kahn, will be conspicuous on the front of international editions, while Jay-Z, Lawrence, Musk, Yousufzai and U.S. Republican Senator Rand Paul will be faced on five different U.S. covers. The list is not graded, but Time managing editor Rick Stengel told that the seven cover pictures "reflect the breadth and depth of the list." Jay-Z, 43, a recording artist and businessperson with interests in sport and fashion, was represented by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg as incarnating the American Dream. "In just about everything he's tried, he's found attainment. And in doing so, he's evidenced that the American Dream is alive and well," Bloomberg wrote of the "Empire State of Mind" musician. Chelsea Clinton, daughter of former U.S. President Bill Clinton, aforesaid the Taliban "almost made Malala a martyr; they won in making her a symbol." Lawrence, 22, attained an Oscar in February for her role as a vocal young widow in movie "Silver Linings Playbook" and is the leading of young adult movie franchise "The Hunger Games."
