Aardklop Arts Festival takes place last September every year. Aardklop means earth beat. The festival is focused on African language & culture but can be enjoyed by everyone. This festival offers a five day feast which includes classical music, jazz, hard rock, cabaret, visual arts, and circus performance. The festival has also a craft and arts market.
The Arts Live International Festival, a yearly festival of dance, music, theater & poetry, is a four days festival which takes place into a cultural village in Johannesburg. This festival ends with the performance of Jazz on the Lake on the final day.
Cape Town Jazz Festival started in 2000 has become a successful international event. It takes place at the last weekend in March every year. Around 40 international & local artists participate in Cape Town Jazz Festival and this festival has around 40 000 audience.
Hermanus Whale Festival is the only environmental arts festival in South Africa.
